Mindy Lynn Faulkner
Mindy Lynn Roberson was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and at a young age she moved to Longmont, Colorado. Her father, Walter, after serving in the Air Force, became a pastor, and Joyce, her mother, is a midwife. Mindy has 11 siblings, she being the seventh, with six sisters and five brothers ranging in age from 14 to 40.
Mindy graduated high school in 2004. Later that year, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert, and gave birth to her first child, a son, Bradley. Over the next eight years, Mindy had two daughters, Shealee, born in 2007, and Ellary, born in 2009. She lived in several locations, constantly packing up her small family, following Robert as he pursued his carrier as a FAA Air Traffic Controller. In 2010, Robert was offered a job in Denver, Colorado, and one last time they moved their family, but this time they were moving back home.
At a very young age, Mindy started acting and quickly became passionate of this new-found medium. When she was 6, she starred in her first lead role for a Christmas play that her local church put on. Any opportunity after that to be on stage, she jumped at the chance. The first time she realized she wanted to become an actor was in eighth grade when she landed a role in her school's rendition of “The Sound of Music.”
In 2011, Mindy decided to fully pursue her dream. “Growing up, it was always a dream but a dream that most people would say is too hard to do or just not realistic, but as the years went by, I couldn't find anything else that I felt could make me happy. No matter how hard I tried to pick another career, my heart always went back to acting.”
Since then, she has signed with Lincoln Talent Agency and has appeared in several features, short films, music videos and other projects.
“I'm passionate about this career because there's something about acting that makes me feel alive. It doesn't matter what character I am playing, just being on set and sharing someone's story with the world makes me feel important.”
